King of Friuts

Durian season is not far away, however, I still couldn't purchase the fruit from the markets. God bless the soul that invented the freezer. I have recently discovered in the frozen section of Asian groceries, (they've actually got frozen durian pieces with the seed still in them). This got me excited as I have been craving Durian for quite some time.

For those who aren't familiar with Durian, it is a case of either you love it or hate it. Lovers of Durian enjoy it for is sweetness and creaminess, not to mention its aromatic scent. For those who hate it, it smell like unwashed, smelly feet.
Okay, just eating Durian itself is unexciting, hence I was inspired by Florence's blog to do a Durian Crepe Cake. Crepes can be eaten sweet or savory, and are simple to create. You can't go wrong with this recipe- it's easier than making a sponge cake. The cake tastes much better if you refrigerate before serving. By then the cream would have fixed its shape, so it won't be to big of a mess we you serve it.

I used a different crepe recipe, hence here it is:

Ingredients
1 cup Plain Flour
1 tsp Sugar
240 ml Milk
2 Eggs

Canola Oil

Method
Whisk all the ingredients together. Let it stand for 15 mins. Heat oil in a non stick crepe pan, then pour the batter in. Cook until both sides golden.
